Mission Rabies

The Mission Rabies project was launched in 2013 with a goal of protecting people and animals living in areas affected by rabies.  According to the research posted on their website:

• Every 9 minutes someone dies from rabies
• 99% of all human rabies deaths are caused by an infected dog bite
• 40% of all human rabies deaths are children under 15 years old
• Vaccinating a person against rabies can cost up to 50 times more than a dog
